About

Creative Prototyping Unit Limited* is a multidisciplinary design studio based in London. The Studio seeks to develop a trans-disciplinary discourse in the intersection of art, science, technology and culturally conscious research. Working in a wide range of design fields with a holistic design approach, CPU Studio strives to challenge the norms and deliver innovative solutions which offers a profound understanding and interpretation of the full range of creative possibilities. Projects range from small furniture, product design and art installation to medium size spatial and hotel design, to large scale stadium design and cultural tourism masterplan.  

The core team members not only have years of most prestigious projects experience working for world-renowned architecture firms, but also have project planning and management experience acting as the Client’s project manager. Since its sestablishment, it has won many important international awards, including the first prize in the 'BrightLED' international competition jointly organized by Designboom and Gwangju Biennale Foundation in South Koea, and the European A' Design Awards for lighting Category Project Gold Award, IDA Bronze Award in the United States, A&D Trophy Awards and Architizer A+Awards in Hong Kong, etc.

Recent projects include Air China VIP Lounge in Beijing and Chengdu, ICBC Panama Office, the conceptual masterplan of Shenzhen Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Future Industrial Town, Xi'an International Football Center and the urban design of surrounding areas, Youth training base of CSL Football Club, and a fireplace for Dong ethnicity, Guangnan Guangxi province in China and other projects.
