Business Development Executive

At Creative Prototyping Unit, we fuse creativity and strategy to bring meaningful ideas to life. As part of our international growth strategy, we are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our team. This role is primarily focused on supporting our UK-based clients by ensuring their design needs are effectively delivered through connections with reliable Chinese partners and suppliers. In addition, the position plays a key role in assisting British clients to identify and explore new opportunities related to the Chinese market, thereby enhancing CPU’s ability to provide high-quality services and broaden its competitive reach.

We welcome candidates with international experience and cultural fluency, especially those who can connect with both local and global client bases.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following skills and levels of experience:

  • 1–2+ years of experience in business development, client relationship management, or project coordination;

  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills;

  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects;

  • Background in creative industries (architecture, design, consulting, or cultural projects) is a plus;

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is essential for engaging effectively with Chinese partners and clients;

  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential Chinese partners and clients relevant to CPU’s UK-based projects.

  • Support client communications, negotiations, and relationship management.

  • Support British clients by providing insights into opportunities that connect with the Chinese market.

  • Promote CPU’s visibility through online platforms, including Chinese and international digital channels.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide reporting to company leadership.

  • Contribute to business growth by using cultural and market expertise to expand CPU’s service offering.

  • Conduct market research and prepare insights to support decision-making.

Location: Hendon Central, London
Job Type: Fall-time (40 hours/week) – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
Salary: £30-40k, (Competitive, based on leve of experience)

  • Proficiency in technical drawing & architectural design

  • Strong communication & presentation skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture

  • Experience with AutoCAD & Rhino (essential)

  • Fluency in English

  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in producing high-quality technical and architectural drawings

  • Support the design team in developing creative concepts

  • Prepare visual presentations and communicate ideas effectively

  • Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams
